rodin on the quad -

first,
i really wanted to use the word "quad" in a sentence.
second,
thanks to my friend sara gavigan,
i got to be a guest lecturer at ucla.
how about that.
me.
shaping the impressionable minds of america's future.
or something.
anyhoo.
i went to the campus and did the whole
"share your experience and give advice" thing,
but ran into this while walking
from parking structure nine to building "named after someone dead and rich".
-
-

I KNOW, RIGHT?
a large, bronze, naked, headless and armless rodin sculpture.
and no one seemed to have claimed it yet,
so i just wheeled that puppy on home.
a statue is a terrible thing to waste.
-
-
i SO would have taken the serra as well,
but that fucker is heavy.

BASTILLE day . . . on last saturday night!

leave it to jim and lyle
to bring a french twist to everything.
like saturday night.
-
-
yes.
that's la tour eiffel.
in the driveway.
-
-
let's say . . . jim and lyle know how to run with a theme.
when they suggested we co-host with them during their annual bastille day party,
we. had. no. idea.
-
-
a marie-antoinette impersonator!
(on the right you idiots.  i am just in toile and a jaunty little hermes scarf.  follow me, people.)
-
-
cutout wigs!
-
-
french 75s (gin, champagne, lemon juice)
and color themes wardrobes!
-
-
connie bang!
-
-
a fellow jaunty scarf wearer!
-
-
a burlesque show!
-
-
tim and eduardo lucero,
krissy and eduardo xol . . .
-

-
oh god.
the wig that almost ate brandon and dustin . . .
-

-
and i wanna say manacop saved jim . . . but where did it go?
-

-
oh yes.
once the wig began migrating, i left the party.
too dangerous.
-

-
happy bastille day,
mon petite chou-chous!
