in between takes on the film,

we grabbed the actors and would shoot like crazy to pick up as much of the clothing

and mood as possible.

EDUARDO LUCERO COUTURE -

the summer exploration started when eduardo lucero,

the los angeles based celebrity red carpet mainstay designer,

asked me to come see his runway show at a museum gala,

and then collaborate on a project inspired by the clothing.

-

this led to a short based on the concept of a female matador,

a whirlwind of filming in an empty storefront on melrose place,

actresses and models and topless moments,

and a bunch of new friends.

-

it also led to photographing eduardo's work,

which is exquisitely hand detailed,

with amazing silhouettes.

in the fashion industry,

she is one of the most humble and funny people you could hope to meet.

all from scratch.

i was told this summer that i wasn't allowed to make any decisions

or to try and affect any changes
