HOW TO MAKE A TURDUCKEN : tim's secret recipe (thanksgiving flashback edition)

-
short answer:
ask tim to cook you one.
-
a turducken
(for those not in the know, or without the nine hours of prep to make one)
is a stuffed boneless chicken
INSIDE
a stuffed boneless duck
INSIDE
a stuffed boneless turkey,
roasted for hours,
then sliced.
-

-
is it insanely delicious?
-
well, let me put it to you this way:
tim's involves . . .
-
the duck is stuffed with brandied cherries, apricots, oranges, pistachios and cashews, then stuffed INSIDE the chicken.

the chicken is stuffed with andouille sausage, jalepeno peppers, tomato, lobster, okra, then stuffed INSIDE the turkey.

and the turkey is stuffed with cornbread, havarti cheese, serrano peppers, italian sausage (and a chicken and a duck!)
-

-
avec kept wanting more
-
-
then we all piled in the cars
and went to serena's
for traditional thanksgiving italian dessert and limoncella around the firepits
-

-
that's tim's strawberry rhubarb pie, there, it is.
-

-
yep.
authentic like the pilgrims, we were.
