Landis Smithers has left the building (meaning OLD NAVY) -
so,
after three and a half years,
three brand presidents,
two and a half ceos,
but one killer / amazing / beloved experience,
i have left old navy.
i leave a team that i built and watched grow exponentially
and that i love
they, i will miss the most.
needless to say, i am breathing,
taking in the fact that i have a LIFE for the first time in ages,
and in the middle of figuring out career 3.0.
this is going to mean:
breathing more
blogging more
writing more
and actually seeing my dogs once in awhile.
all while exploring something new,
that i think i'm going to love.
this week is merely a . . . tribute to recent events
that led to this change
in this one life.
more soon, kidlets.
love y'all for keeping up . . .

Congratulations on your continued evolution.
Your man and your dogs are precious. Have fun in France, and good luck planning your next move, I hope it brings joy and creativity!
Landis... congratulations and very good luck in this new step...
How exciting!
Probably a little scary too, but in the end everything will work out extremely well because you will not rest until it does. You have such high standards for yourself and are relentless in pursuit of your goals.
I am going to take a guess that you won't be "working for the man" any more. Might be time to take that leap.
Can't wait to hear about the new. It's going to be awesome.
oh yeah!
how exciting.
whatever you touch will turn to gold.
Wow - good for you. I wish nothing but good things for you. Now get off the computer and go enjoy Tim and those dogs.
shut up!
wow. big BIG news.
congratulations.
but...
"all while exploring something new,
that i think i'm going to love."
teasing bastard!
Landis, I have to say that I have had a pit in my stomach since I saw your "light at the end of the tunnel post" that you were going to leave Old Navy. I have to say as an employee of the company, I stood in utter AWE of what you did with our marketing both in store and on TV. I am extremely sad to see you go, but certainly understand why now was a good time to start something new. I wish you the very best of luck and I look forward to reading your adventures here.
WOW! What a big change. Can't wait to hear what you're up to next!
Best wishes in your new venture.
Congrats! I'd quit just about any job for the opportunity to go to France for just two weeks. Oh wait, I've already done that.
oh, and for what it's worth, i knew you were going to say that you were leaving ON - i just respectfully didn't blurt that out because, well, i have tact.
what i cannot fathom is what lies ahead, post-paris.
bastard.
living my life vicariously through you means i can't wait to see what you'll accomplish next.
looking forward to it.
I was lolling on the beach and missed this news. Big changes! I've been to afraid to make them for a while. I need to take some cues from you, L.S.
AAAAAHHHHHRRRRGGGHHHH!
I didn't see this coming, but I'm not surprised either.
Does this mean that you are currently available for employment as my loyal manservant in the story of my life?
Just checking...
;)
